unique wedding ideas

Unique Wedding Idea: Have real, live butterflies or white doves released around you as you step out of the church, creating a true fairy tale effect. Your guests will never forget it! Neither will you. Check your local Yellow Pages for companies offering this service in your area.

Unique Wedding Idea: Consider having your rings engraved on the inside with your entire wedding vows, or another personalized message. It's always been a lovely tradition for couples to have the inside of their wedding bands engraved, but until now, the message had to be extremely brief. In the past it was usually only possible to engrave intials or the wedding date into the rings. However, one clever and creative jewlery company has now developed a way to engrave your entire wedding vows inside your wedding rings. Their unique and patented process allows multiple rows of engraving, so entire wedding vows or other complete messages can be inserted. This has never been offered before, and is only available through the one company which holds the patent. I LOVE this idea - if only someone had figured out how to do this sooner!

Engagement Rings

Are thinking about buying an engagement ring? do you want more for your money?

Then why not go on an American jewellery site, the exchange rate it so good at the moment that you can get bigger caret diamonds for the fraction of the cost!!

Original Guest Book Ideas

Guest Book Alternatives:
Instead of the traditional guest book, have a framed canvas for your guest to sign. This is something you can hang in your home together as a unique memory of your wedding day.
Leave blank squares to mount snap shots, from the ceremony to make as a collage.
Another thought is have a friend of family member at the door with a Polaroid instant camera. Take photos of each guest as they enter, and have them sign the photo. That way you really get to see everyone of your guests!
I just read a really neat idea where the guests were each mailed a guestbook page to do with as they will, decorate, write what they wish, etc. The guests then bring the page with them to be placed in the guestbook. What an awesome memory, very personal, and very unique.
The bride and groom will have something much more well thought out then a hurried scrawl in a book as they pass by, they get to think and create and make it memorable.
Great for all those scrap booking creative people out there, they can make a masterpiece for the couple perhaps including some memory photos of themselves with the bride and or groom!

Hi

Me again, im speaking about doing weddings on the cheap please see below for ideas

Do your own catering
It is much cheaper to do your own catering. Ideally try to rope in some members of the family.

Have the reception at a family house
If you can do the wedding reception at a family members house it will save on the cost of hiring a venue. You could always put up a marquee in the garden.

Rent the village hall
Village halls can be rented quite cheaply - which will make your budget stretch further.

Supply your own wine
If you are using outside caterers you will probably find that it is cheaper to pay corkage (a cost for serving the wine) that it will be to buy the wine from the caterers. You can also have a lot of fun tasting wines to find the right one for your weeding day

Do your own invites
Rather than having expensive wedding invites printed you could design your own. You can either hand write invites on card (a nice personal touch) or you could design your own using a computer programme like PowerPoint.

Picnic in the park
Some friends fo mine who were on a very limited budget had their reception in the local park. This saved the complete cost of the venue.

Get your wedding dress on ebay http://www.ebay.com/
Ebay is a good place to go looking for a wedding dress. You can pick up a designer wedding dress for around £100 ($200). The dresses have only usually only been worn once and are excellent condition for the same price you can have one made and imported from china. Only the bride (and groom!!) would know.

Business suits
Rather than hiring morning suits you can save money by just wearing a business suits. If you want everyone to match you just need to buy the men a set of matching ties.

Do your own flowers
Flowers can cost an absolute fortune but you can do your own. You can get really nice flowers from a supermarket and they don’t cost a lot. You could even get pot plants from a garden centre to put on the table or why not use cheaper alternatives like feathers, fruit, sweets

Make everyone the photographer
Wedding photos can be really expensive so a cheap alternative is to ask everyone who is bringing a digital camera to make a copy of the photos for you. You will get some really nice and unexpected shots. See if you can rope in a forceful relative to act as the ‘official photographer’ to ensure that you get the regular family shots. )

Put your wedding photos on Flickr
If you want to share your wedding photos with family and friends - put them on Flickr. Its free and pretty easy to use. A great way of saving mementos of the special day.

Buy a shop bought cake
Buy a shop bought cake. There are some really nice ones at Marks and Spencers. They do a three tiered wedding cake- 74 Portions for £49.50
